Rule 8
Amount of stock to be held and purchased

(1) In accordance with this regulation, a person who has a license to keep arms shall be allowed to keep the following arms at one time and the amount of ammunition that he is allowed to withdraw or purchase from abroad each year shall be as follows:

(1) A person receiving diplomatic privileges may keep or purchase up to twice the quantity of goods mentioned in this sub-rule.
(2) In accordance with sub-rule (1) of rule 3, a person who has received a license for a handgun other than the handgun for which a license is required shall be allowed to keep or purchase ammunition as specified in the previous license.
(2) When granting a license (license) to keep firearms without exceeding the limit specified in sub-rule (1), the license (licensing authority) shall specify the amount of ammunition that can be deposited in the license (license) or purchased or taken from abroad each year. The Licensing Authority can give a specification considering the needs and status of the licensee.
(3) Regardless of what is written in sub-rules (1) and (2), the Government of Nepal may grant special permission to keep or buy or sell more ammunition for rifle clubs and in special circumstances for a licensee.
(4) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-rules (1), (2), (3), when granting permission to bring out goods from abroad, the authority granting or granting such permission shall, if deemed necessary, have incurred the cost of previously purchasing or bringing out the stock currently held by the holder of such licence.
